Quality Control and Food Safety Management

Quality Management System:

Clear Ocean Seafood is committed to implementing and maintaining the latest scientific and systematic quality management systems in its facilities. A set of policies and procedures have been established to ensure the products meet the highest quality standards in each step of the supply chain, from the harvesting sites to the final consumers.  The scallops are harvested from monitored ocean locations and processed in British Retail Consortium (BRC) certified facilities where the highest food safety and hygiene standards have been implemented. Clear Ocean Seafood supervises the entire supply chain of custody to minimize food safety risks and to guarantee the fastest response towards any quality concerns.

HACCP Principles:

Clear Ocean Seafood has developed a top-level Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) food safety management system. An experienced quality team that oversees the entire processing flow identified the potential food safety hazards in each step, and established a series of Critical Control Points (CCP). At each CCP, a control measure was developed to continuously monitor the processing steps and make sure any potential food safety risks were eliminated before shipping to the customers.

To keep our food safety system operating at the top level, the quality team is always reviewing and researching for higher quality standards to deliver the best quality products for our customers. Since food quality is paramount in our business, the Clear Ocean quality team will always maintain our due diligence to keep our customers protected and supplied with the safest and highest quality products.
