Ocean Wise’s classification system is based on two categories: sustainable or unsustainable, simply a good or bad choice for our oceans. Ocean Wise regularly updates or reclassifies all seafood species according to the latest scientific information, and communicates its recommendations to the Ocean Wise participants, including restaurants, retailers, markets, seafood suppliers and culinary schools.
